Job Description:
This copywriting position entails crafting relevant and humorous write ups for feature businesses on Shopilia. Copywriters are responsible first and foremost for producing informative paragraphs so that customers may grasp a better understanding of the feature business. Humour is then intertwined to cater to a young, hip audience. Although random is sometimes good, relevance is key.
Successful applicants may be asked to produce a sample piece describing a previous Shopilia business.
Duties:
- Creating and editing daily write ups for feature businesses.
- Researching cool and exciting businesses that will be featured on Shopilia.
- Working with different Shopilia divisions and people on a day-to-day basis.
Your Qualifications
- Post secondary education or equivalent, relevant to writing, journalism, or English.
- Superior English reading and writing skills (French an asset).
- Be able to work well in a super cool environment.
- Fast typer and web savvy.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Writing experience a plus.
*Must have access to a personal computer.
